We process our
fish within 48 hours of harvesting, this ensures a sweet and tender
fillet every time. Compare this to imported wild yellow perch often held
on ice for up to 14 days before processing.
Heart
Healthy
Coolwater Farms LLC yellow perch fillets store exceptionally well as a
frozen product. Fish with a high percentage of fat, such as salmon and
trout, do not store as well in the freezer due to oxidation. Yellow
perch fillets have less than 1% fat and are high in heart-healthy
Omega-3 fatty acids. We believe that there is no detectable difference
in the quality of our fillets whether fresh or frozen for up to six
months.
